LUDWIG VAN BEETHOVEN INTEGRALE DELLE SONATE E PRINCIPALI OPERE

PIANO DIARIO DI VIAGGIO Nel 1769 J. G. Herder scriveva il Journal meiner Reise (Giornale
del mio viaggio), avvincente diario di bordo del tragitto per mare che
portò il predicatore da Riga a Nantes.
L’esperienza del viaggio verso l’ignoto, umana e spirituale insieme, è forse
la migliore metafora della straordinaria avventura cui ci guideranno le Sonate e le principali opere
pianistiche di Beethoven, punta di diamante della
sua produzione, taccuino di lavoro in cui vengono anticipate le più
interessanti innovazioni linguistiche che l’autore applicherà poi agli altri
generi musicali, dalle Sinfonie
alla musica da camera. Per potere evocare la stratificazione culturale che alimenta il
pensiero estetico e poetico di Beethoven, primo
musicista umanista, l’incisione pubblicata da Limen
Music comprenderà anche un’introduzione video, che di volta in volta
analizzerà il rapporto tra il musicista e i massimi intellettuali del suo
tempo, e un ampio booklet nel quale, grazie a
un’analisi dialettica dei fatti compositivi, in
linea con l’orientamento adorniano, si dedurrà da
una teoria della forma musicale una teoria della formazione. La guida che abbiamo scelto come bussola in questo percorso, è
infatti rappresentata dal concetto di Bildung, termine chiave della cultura tedesca che
raccoglie al proprio interno il valore della Schöpfung (creazione) e della Verfertigung (costruzione), oltre che dell’eckhartiano bilden (formare). La relazione tra forma e formazione
costituisce uno dei centri di riflessione dell’Umanesimo tedesco, e in
particolare dei contributi schilleriani e goethiani. Da tale contesto, che alimenta la Bildung beethoveniana, si trarrà linfa per individuare le leggi
morfologiche che sorreggono le trasformazioni (Umbildungen) del tessuto
musicale, specchio dell’interiore Entwicklung (evoluzione) umana e culturale del

In 1769 J. G. Herder wrote the Journal meiner Reise (Journal of my
travel), charming logbook of the preacher's voyage from Riga to Nantes. The
experience of the travel towards the unknown, human and spiritual as well, is
probably the best metaphor of the extraordinary adventure of Beethoven's Piano
Sonatas, a collection at the cutting edge of the composer's production, a
laboratory in which he anticipates the most interesting innovations of the
musical language, before realizing them in the chamber and symphonic works.
In order to highlight the cultural stratification of
Beethoven's aesthetic and poetic thought, first humanis
musician, these Limen recordings include video
introductions, which treat the relations between the composer and the most
important intellectuals of his time, and a rich booklet, in which, thanks to a
dialectic analysis of the compositional events, according to the position of Adorno, we try to deduce a "Bildung theory" (theory of
the formation) from a theory of the musical form.
Indeed the guide that we choose as compass for this
route is the concept of Bildung. This is a keyword of the German
culture which contains the meanings of
the Schöpfung (creation), of the Verfertigung
(construction, fabrication), and of the Eckhartian bilden (to form).
The relation between form and formation has a central place in the reflection
of the German Humanism, especially as concerns Schiller and Goethe. The
Beethovenian Bildung grows on this ground, and it's
from here that we move, in order to define the morphological rules of the
transformations (Umbildungen)
of the musical tissue, mirror ot the inner, human and
cultural Entwicklung
(evolution) of the composer.
