Homage to Debussy and Mallarmé, in their respective birth anniversaries, the spectacle springs from a masterwork of the French composer, the Sonata for flute, viola and harp (1915) -first piece for this intrumentation with suave musical colours - giving rise to a project that involves young composers and artists of prestigious Italian schools (Accademia di S. Cecilia di Roma, Conservatorio di Venezia, Conservatorio di Milano, Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia). It aims to propose a new dimension of the performance through the synergy between historical memory and crossed languages expressing the creativity of the young generations.

The performance of the Sonata is accompanied by "Tre Spiriti" (The magician, The woman and The Beast), series of sculptures of Federica Montesanto, reflecting Debussy's interest in archaic and pagan cultures. Debussy's Syrinx is linked to Maya, installation of Ivana Bukovac (Serbia), inspired to the concept of metamorphosis as alienation, other Becoming, both shelter and prison. "Sguardo di statua" of Mehdi Khayami (Iran) uses the same instrumentation as Debussy's Sonata: it suggests the sense of demotivation and frustration of today's mankind, through a musical material based on the microtonal intervals of fhe Iranian tradition.

Sainte by Jozef Pjetri (Albania) for solo flute is inspired by Mallarmé, and represents an inexorable gradual collapse of the compositional elements; Un coup d’aile ivre, trio by Letizia Michielon, is drawn from Mallarmé's sonnet "Le vierge, le vivace et le bel aujourd’hui". The swan, symbol of the poet, is interpreted by the flute, whose performance takes place inside a structure in form of wing ("Ombreggiatura d’ali") created by Sara Speggiorin. dialoguing with the the space and the light by a language that evokes the topos of the classical draping.. The piece for solo harp of Stefano Alessandretti, "Dal fondo di un naufragio", inspired by the poem Un coup de dés, is built around an unique essential phrase, with relevant aleatory component. Also the duo for flute and harp "Cenotafio" of  Gabriele Cosmi is connected to the mnestic symoblist atmosphere through the far memories that appear as sound nebulas and evoke a world without human presences; the video "To extend the visibility" of Elio Martusciello, composed only by satellite images of the Earth, is associated with this piece.
